Confidence Has Ruined More Christians Than Weakness Ever Has...
Most people don’t fall because they’re powerless. They fall because they feel untouchable.
When God has blessed us…when we’re spiritually strong…when nothing has blown up yet…we start believing we can stand closer to the fire than everyone else.
In Judges 16:4–9, Delilah already has Samson’s number.
She keeps asking where his strength comes from. The Philistines are hiding in the next room. He lies. She tests him. He snaps the cords and walks away laughing.
God’s strength is still with him. And that’s the danger.
Samson knew he had God’s strength, so he thought he could afford to play with fire — toy with sin, flirt with compromise, stay in the room.
Because nothing bad happened… he assumed nothing bad would.
Judges 16 doesn’t show a weak man. It shows a strong man being careless.
Strength without caution is a setup for collapse.
God’s presence in your life is not permission to test temptation. His patience is not His approval. The strength He gives you is meant to help you flee — not flirt.
Ask yourself:
• What am I entertaining because “nothing has happened yet”?
• Where am I staying that God has already warned me about?
If you know it’s dangerous, don’t prove how strong you are.
Prove how wise you are.
Walk away while you still can.
