What am I doing?!

What are you doing?!

You don’t have everything put togetherevery minute of every dayof every monthof every year of your life.

Guess what…I don’t either.

Some days, I know exactly what to do and how to do it.Other days, I have no clue—and I wander until I end up somewhere.

The tension for me is this:I don’t want to waste the little time I have on this earth.And I want to avoid regret as much as possible.

So if you wrestle with the same things I do,how do we move forward and keep peace in our hearts and minds?

“Man’s steps are ordained by the Lord,How then can man understand his way?”—Proverbs 20:24

Here’s what that means to me right now.

First: I have to make a continual effort to avoid sin and follow the Lord’s ways each day.That’s the only way I can confidently lift my foot and place it back down the path ahead.

Second: I’ve got to trust God. Trust that He has a plan. Trust that His ways are higher than mine—even when I can’t see what He’s doing at all.
