You didn’t come to worship…You came to watch.

You can sit in church and still miss Jesus.
In Luke 6, the Pharisees were in the synagogue or “church”.
Scripture open. Attendance checked. Position secured.
And a man with a withered hand walks in. Jesus calls him forward.
Before healing him, He asks: “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath?”
Silence.
Not because they didn’t know the answer. Because they were hoping He wouldn’t.
Jesus says, “Stretch out your hand.” And instantly — it’s restored.
No praise. No celebration.
Just RAGE.
Why? Because mercy threatened their system.
Let me bring this uncomfortably close:
Do you get irritated when someones walk with the Lord grows faster than yours?
Do you feel bothered when someone lives boldly for Christ?
Do you hope they stumble so you don’t feel small?
I’ve done it. It’s ugly. And it’s Pharisee-ugly.
If someone else’s obedience makes you angry…that’s not their problem.
It’s your heart.
Don’t sit in church looking for flaws.
Don’t sit in church hoping someone falls.
Do…Sit. Stand. Wherever you are — worship Jesus
Repent when convicted.
Celebrate when others grow.
And if your heart feels exposed right now…Good.
That means it’s still alive.
